China sends over 17,000 medics to Hubei to aid control of NCP

BEIJING, Feb. 12 (Guangming Online) -- By Feb. 10, 2020, a total of 17866 medical personnel from 29 provinces and cities have been sent to central China’s Hubei Province to aid the control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia there, according to Jiefang Daily.
On Sunday, east China’s Jiangsu Province sent 5 teams comprised of 958 members to central China’s Hubei Province to support the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia there.
More medical teams from across China are rushing to Hubei Province to aid the coronavirus control there.
On Tuesday, southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality sent a team comprised of 159 medical workers for Xiaogan, central China’s Hubei Province. They will work together with the first batch of medical workers from Chongqing.
On Tuesday, southeast China’s Fujian Province sent a medical team of 158 members from the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University for Yichang, central China’s Hubei Province.
By the end of Tuesday, a total of 44,730 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia infection had been reported in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.[ Editor: SRQ ]
